Vera R. Sattler has been working in the glass industry since 1946. She studied in Germany through a 3-year apprenticeship from 1946 through 1949 in designing and painting stained glass windows. Ms. Sattler also attended various art and trade schools, and has a B.S. from Wayne State University in Detroit. 


From 1964 through 1977, Ms. Sattler worked for the Detroit Stained Glass Works. She has done work for many private collectors and interior decorators in stained glass, acrylics, collages, copper enameling, watercolors, pate de verre, slumped and fused glass. She has also designed and completed many major glass commissions for religious and public buildings throughout Michigan and Florida. 

Sattler taught adult education at Birmingham High School, Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Association, and at St. Clair College in Ontario.  She has participated in many exhibits and juried shows, and won countless awards for her creations.
