How To Destroy Your Brand In One Easy Step.

We were driving down I-95 one Sunday afternoon. Minding our own business. Yes, we were a smidgen over the speed limit, passing trucks in the center and right lanes. We cast a glance in the rearview, and there's this white Dodge Ram with a lift kit less than five feet from our back bumper. Tailgating is illegal in most states, because it's dangerous. If someone sees a road hazard and applies the brakes quickly, it's over. In Florida it is considered a moving violation. If drivers tailgate, they can be stopped by law enforcement, ticketed, fined and points will be added against their drivers' licenses. Not to mention that he was technically speeding also. Apparently, this white Dodge Ram missed those regulations in his driving test. We moved from the left lane after passing the tractor trailers. Speedy Gonzalez accelerated before we had evacuated the lane, only to immediately tailgate another car that was in front of us. That was a typical immature douchebag move.
This sort of idiocy happens all the time. The mistake here was proudly displaying "JJ Stucco" in his back window. Now, we knew exactly who the idiot driver was. Countless people saw this maneuver, and now we all have to wonder if JJ Stucco's employees apply the same careless attitude towards its stucco business as it does towards driving. Perhaps he was racing north on 95 to handle a stucco emergency. But it's still not cool to tailgate, bro.
Oh, and it's also never a good idea to mix politics with business. That Trump bumper sticker is going to turn off half of your potential customers. You can and should support whomever you want, but don't advertise it on a company vehicle.
I decided to look up JJ Stucco online. Hmmm, their website was closed for some reason. And some of Google's reviews were less than positive, including:
Have been calling this guy and leaving messages for over a week!!!! He will NOT give me an estimate. He's either VERY expensive, or business is really good! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!
Did not show twice for an estimate at the agreed to time. Refused to give an estimate when I told him we were getting several bids. Ty Jackson is a very unprofessional contractor.
Rule #1 when driving a company vehicle: recognize that everything you do affects the reputation of your company. Who knows how many potential customers this driver turned off. I, for one, won't be calling JJ Stucco for anything in the future. We'll be calling Extreme Stucco from now on. Hey JJ - you might want to have a chat with Mr. Ram Driver. Hopefully, that wasn't Tyrone driving. When you're ready, Mr. Jackson, give Brevard Marketing a call. We'll help you clean this nonsense up once and for all. We can help JJ Stucco become a shining star in the stucco business.
